Dragon Labyrinth
The dual spiral
The dual spiral Dragon Labyrinth is looking lovely amongst the snow drops this Spring.
This was a bit of an experimental design. The dragons bodies are cement inserted with coloured slate stone and crystals. In hindsight I think the spiral could have been worked out a little more precisely but at the time I thought it would also give it an organic, twisty dragons body type of effect.
Nonetheless the dual spiral is a powerful vortex, the shape is seen within the form of galaxies, the galaxy we live in is known as a barred double spiral. It’s called a barred spiral because the two spirals don’t actually meet in the centre, they are connected by an invisible line, ‘the bar’. It is within this space that stars are born. Energy and gas are gathered from the arms of the spiral to fuel the creation of stars. It’s the central womb or heart of the galaxy.

Hi Mark, wow this dragon one is powerful! Where is it based? Is it something I can visit? Bright blessings 💫
